Compilation of the second half of 2019 Cars & Crumpets attendees.
As you can see there were many children in attendance. They all received a model of a British Car. Hopefully they will fall in love with our LBC's and continue keeping them on the road in the future, and keep the heritage going.
Our first Cars and Crumpets was a huge success. We had 27 LBC’s. Show up under a beautiful sunny sky. As we practiced social distancing, parking a car space apart and wearing masks, we enjoyed a wonderful outing.
There were 2 Aston Martins, 2 Lotus, a Land Rover, MG-TD, Spitfire, a few TR 6’s, 3 Austin Healeys, an MGA ,an MG Midget, 3 Jaguars, and a TR3. And a few Minis.
Three of the attendees were first timers, who received a C...
Although the weather was a bit iffy, we managed to have a small turnout of LBC's. The highlight was that Crumpets were actually served!, thanks to Simon Knott. He supplied the Crumpets with either creme cheese or butter topping. He broke out his portable cooker, with toaster rack, which can toast four at a time. He then served these delightful treats to all that attended.
Perfect weather to take your LBC out for a spin. A nice representation of various marks attended.Note the forward opening bonnet types, and a participant of the British Reliability Run by Richard I. in his Austin Healey. Also of note, this event and the camaraderie it provides gave Pete the incentive to keep his MGB. Cheers.
After a few wet weekends we finally got to enjoy a dry day, providing a nice turnout with 16 cars attending. 1st. timer Kurt Krauss attended with his well travelled Land Rover. Also appearing was a new Jag F-Type and a real nice assortment of British iron.
On hand were Triumphs,MGB, Austin Healey, Lotus, Mini, an E-type and a marvelous MG Magnette. Also an impressive display of license plates. A few attendees commented what a g...
We had a 50% increase from the inaugural gathering. Even though the day started in typical British fashion, with overcast skies, by 9am the sky turned a clear beautiful blue. There was 2 E-types, 7 Austin Healeys and 5 Triumphs. One gent brought his two kids and they received a model of a British car. Hopefully they will want to own and drive the real thing when they grow up. There's nothing like getting them interested at a y...
It was a typical foggy English morning with scattered showers in the forecast for the early morning. They predicted it to clear up by 9am, with some sunshine, and rain to return in the late afternoon. So in good old British fashion I decided to keep calm and carry on with the inaugural Cars and Crumpets gathering.
Along the way to the event one of the showers crossed my path for about 20 minutes . Not to be deterred I co...
